What I need, and can't find anywhere, is a keyboard shortcut that will allow me to restart my laptop in safe mode from the login screen.Īlternatively, to tell the Dell Facial recognition software to let me enter the password could also work, since I will to do the restart once the desktop is active. I have found instructions that doing Shift-Restart from the login screen will restart in safe mode.

The issue is with the video card driver from NVIDIA. The upgrade to Windows 10 is not the issue. This may affect my login because I need to select with the mouse that I want to enter a password.
